Job summary

MG-IP Law, PC is seeking a full-time IP Assistant to support its Intellectual Property practice in a fully remote role. You will manage docketing, billing, client correspondence, and status checks, and assist with filing documents to the USPTO.

Responsibilities cover utility, design, provisional, and plant patent applications, IDS references, proofreading, and ensuring USPTO and firm procedures compliance. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented and organized, able to handle multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• 2 years of general IP experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED; college degree is a plus.
• Ability to lift/carry at least 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Docketing, billing, client correspondence, status checks, and USPTO filings.
• Document preparation and filing for utility, design, provisional and plant patents, and related forms.
• Obtain Information Disclosure Statement references and proofread/format documents for USPTO and firm procedures.
