Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a long-term IP Paralegal Assistant to support a busy IP practice handling Patent and Trademark matters. The role focuses on docketing, preparation, portfolio management, and filings across national and international matters, with an emphasis on accuracy and client service.

This fully remote position may be filled in The Link virtual office or any firm location. Ideal candidates have patent experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency

Qualifications

• One year of patent experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Experience with electronic court filings.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys and paralegals with a full range of Patent and Trademark matters.
• Handle docketing, electronic filing, portfolio management, and maintenance of Patent applications.
• Coordinate international filings with foreign law offices and/or other foreign entities.
• Maintain docket system of due dates for actions, including responses and renewals.
• Perform document management duties: photocopying, filing, scanning, courier delivery.
• Input matter information into applicable software.
