Job summary

Harness IP seeks a detail-oriented Patent Assistant to support patent attorneys and clients through the application process. The role includes prosecution support, deadline management, drafting documents, billing, and filing systems.

Training on USPTO and WIPO efiling, patent searching, and our systems will be provided to ensure accuracy and efficiency. The position offers hybrid work with in-office presence three days per week and opportunities to engage with a dynamic intellectual property

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience.
• Proficient with MS Office and quick to learn new software.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Effective communication and ability to prioritize.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed and in-office 3 days/week (hybrid).

Responsibilities

• Prepare patent application documents and formal papers.
• Assist with responses to U.S. Office Actions.
• Proofread and file patent applications and Office Action responses.
• Correspond with Foreign Associate Counsel.
• Handle incoming mail and emails and track deadlines.
• Manage client databases and status updates.
• Respond to client inquiries.
• Assist with client billing and use firm applications.
• Interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
