Cover Whale Insurance Solutions is seeking a Business Development Associate to join the North East region (PA, NJ, VA, MD, NY, or CT). This fully remote role focuses on managing partners, onboarding new ones, and driving growth through strategic partner programs.

You will collaborate with underwriting, marketing, and growth teams, track KPIs, and report on performance. A 3+ year background in insurance/trucking is required, with strong communication and multi-channel outreach to convert

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in insurance/commercial trucking required.
• Strong video and phone communication skills.
• Experience onboarding customers to realize value and growth.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for technical and business topics.
• Proven ability to execute opportunities and deliver results.
• Experience with multi-channel outreach and cadences.
• Skilled at discovery meetings and securing next steps.
• Experience moving prospects from first touch to close.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with underwriting, marketing, and growth teams to develop and execute distribution strategies and generate partner premium.
• Manage a portfolio of emerging and lower-volume partners, building relationships and driving performance.
• Provide pipeline support by researching target markets and competitive intelligence.
• Identify and grow relationships with existing partners.
• Establish, track, and report on KPIs and meet or exceed goals.
• Support continuous improvement of business development and onboarding processes.
• Represent Cover Whale positively with partners and prospects via outreach.
• Assist with event and field presence within the region and logistics for retail engagements.
• Monitor partner performance and trends, escalating opportunities and risks.
• Maintain partner data in HubSpot with interactions and performance notes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
