Relocity, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Personal Host (Relocation Consultant) to guide relocating employees through the move, from housing research to area tours.

The role is primarily remote (60-70%) with 30-40% in-person client support across the city, requiring strong relationships, problem-solving, and logistics expertise. You’ll coordinate schedules, deliver tailored city insights, and ensure a smooth relocation journey while aligning with flexible work policies.

Qualifications

• Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
• Must have at least 5 years of residency in Alexandria or a surrounding D.C. area, with extensive knowledge of the local rental market and processes.
• Must own a reliable, registered 4-door vehicle with a valid driver’s license for area tours and searches.
• Applicants should be able to commit at least 20 hours per week.
• Must be flexible and available to work weekends.
• Relocation or moving assistance experience is preferred but not required.
• Bachelor or Associate’s degree preferred.
• Extensive experience with technology tools such as Microsoft Office, Google GSuite, and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with relocating employees and understand their needs.
• Provide expert guidance on neighborhoods, transportation options, and local culture.
• Conduct in-depth housing and school research for clients.
• Assist with essential services like DMV registration and banking setup.
• Curate personalized recommendations for social, cultural, and lifestyle activities.
• Gather and deliver customized information using Relocity’s software and GSuite.
• Coordinate and lead area tours, in person or virtual.
• Facilitate ongoing communication with relocating employees via various channels.
• Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the relocation journey.
• Efficiently manage multiple relocations at different stages.
