Job summary

Relocity, Inc. seeks a Part-Time Personal Host (Relocation Consultant) to guide relocating employees through every relocation stage with a high-touch approach. This remote-heavy role includes in-city site support and requires strong project management, research, and relationship-building skills.

You’ll coordinate housing, schools, utilities, and local services while delivering personalized recommendations and reports. Flexibility for weekends and travel within the city is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
• Must have residency in Alexandria or surrounding DC area for at least 5 years with knowledge of local market.
• Own a reliable, registered vehicle with a valid driver's license.
• Available to commit at least 20 hours per week; weekends required.
• Customer-facing role requiring friendly, outgoing service orientation.
• Able to work independently with time management; relocation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with relocating employees and understand their needs.
• Provide guidance on neighborhoods, transport options, and local culture.
• Conduct housing and school research including rental trends and ratings.
• Assist with DMV, banking, and other essential relocation logistics.
• Curate personalized recommendations for social, cultural, and lifestyle activities.
• Create tailored client reports using Relocity’s software and GSuite.
• Coordinate and lead area tours in person or virtually.
• Maintain ongoing communication via phone, email, or video calls.
• Serve as primary contact throughout relocation, coordinating with partners.
• Manage multiple relocations at different stages with proactive follow-ups.
• Handle administrative tasks and keep client records up to date.
