Pirate Ship, a remote-first ecommerce shipping software company, seeks a Paralegal to join our crew as the First Mate of Legal Affairs. You will support contract drafting, IP management, and governance while coordinating with outside counsel and internal teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifikationen

• 2-5 years paralegal experience in a technology company or law firm.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in drafting and reviewing legal documents.

Aufgaben

• Keep Our Documents Shipshape: Assist in preparing, reviewing, and revising contracts, agreements, and other legal documents. Maintain an organized and up-to-date document management system to ensure timely compliance with legal obligations and deadlines.
• Scout the Legal Horizon: Conduct extensive legal research and analysis on various topics, such as regulatory compliance, intellectual property, and commercial law. Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company and its operations.
• Help Safeguard Our Treasure: Assist in managing the company's intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents. Work with external counsel and internal stakeholders on intellectual property matters, such as registrations, renewals, and enforcement actions.
• Keep Our Governance on Course: Assist in corporate governance matters, including preparing documents for meetings, maintaining corporate records, and ensuring compliance with governance policies and procedures. Support compliance efforts by assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Support the Rules of the Seas: Provide support to the team by organizing documents and coordinating cross-functionally and with outside counsel. Provide general administrative support to the General Counsel, such as scheduling meetings, maintaining legal files, and handling correspondence.
• Sail from your port o' call: You're able to work from home and connect with your crewmates throughout the day over chat, voice, and video through company provided equipment. Periodic in-person meetings at varied locations.
