Job summary

Altium Packaging is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Northeast U.S. and Canada. This remote role covers the east region with up to 70% travel, building strategic partnerships and expanding the customer base.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of technical sales experience, a bachelor’s degree, and strong prospecting and closing skills. Canadian French is a nice-to-have and travel will be frequent.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of technical sales experience in a complex environment.
• Bachelor degree required.
• Ability to create key account plans and execute; heavy cold calling experience.
• Competitive mentality; enjoy pursuing business and closing new accounts.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Independent worker with a collaborative mindset; energetic self-starter.
• Travel up to 70% to visit accounts and prospects.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and prospects to form strategic partnerships.
• Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and record activity in the CRM.
• Aim for 50%+ close ratios on projects.
• Understand machine loads and plant capacity within the network.
• Attend relevant trade shows as required.
• Identify and develop new opportunities where Altium is first or second to market.
• Lead in packaging solution ideas and implementations.
• Maximize contract renewals and negotiate contracts for all customers.
• Support customer service and mentor team members as needed.
• Research market trends and advise on sales strategies.
