Job summary

Gallagher is seeking a driven insurance sales and underwriting professional to join a hybrid team responsible for connecting Retail Agents with national markets and delivering underwriting solutions through strong carrier relationships.

This role emphasizes revenue growth, market access, and collaboration across carriers and agents, with a 75/25 split between marketing/sales and underwriting. A P&C license or progress toward license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience.
• Home state P&C license (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
• Sales experience in insurance or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new business with Retail Agents and Carrier Underwriters.
• Market and sell wholesale insurance to achieve production goals.
• Build relationships with Specialty Carriers for pricing and coverage access.
• Pre-qualify submissions and focus on high-probability sales opportunities.
• Analyze submissions to determine best Carrier, coverage, forms, and premium.
• Gather client risk information and identify additional exposure to quote.
• Stay ahead of underwriting guidelines and market trends.
• Educate partners on RPS’s full range of risk solutions.
• Lead, train, and oversee support team when assigned.
• Travel as needed to engage with clients and carriers.
