Job summary

Gallagher is seeking a seasoned business development professional in a hybrid role to drive revenue growth by connecting Retail Agents with national markets and delivering underwriting solutions through strong carrier relationships.

You will prospect, market, and sell wholesale insurance, build carrier partnerships, and lead a support team while traveling as needed to engage clients and carriers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience.
• License in Home state P&C (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
• Sales experience in insurance or related field advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new business through networking with Retail Agents and Carrier Underwriters.
• Market and sell wholesale insurance solutions to achieve production goals.
• Build relationships with Specialty Carriers for pricing and access to coverage.
• Pre-qualify submissions and identify high-probability sales opportunities.
• Analyze submissions to select best carrier, coverage, and premium.
• Gather client risk information and identify additional exposures to quote.
• Stay ahead of market trends affecting underwriting guidelines and pricing.
• Educate partners on the full range of risk solutions.
• Lead and train support team when needed.
• Travel as required to engage with clients and carriers.
