Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Permanent Outsourced Accounting Manager to lead outsourced accounting for clients in the life sciences and biotech sector. This remote role involves advising on financial strategy, reporting, and compliance to support clients' innovative projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a similar role, with CPA or Big 4 experience as a strong plus. Excellent communication and leadership skills are required to guide a team of accounting professionals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in life sciences/biotech.
• CPA and/or Big 4 public accounting experience is a strong plus, not required.
• Strong understanding of financial needs and challenges in life sciences/biotech.
• Proven experience in outsourced accounting and BPO.
• Extensive knowledge of audit processes and financial regulations.
• Experience with pharmaceutical and medical device companies is a plus.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading teams.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex financial information to non-financial audiences.
• Proactive approach with ability to anticipate issues and provide solutions.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all outsourced accounting functions for clients in life sciences/biotech.
• Serve as primary contact for client inquiries, offering expert advice.
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with client objectives.
• Prepare and present detailed financial reports and analyses to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with other teams to identify process improvements and cost reductions.
• Assist in the audit process, ensuring timely completion.
• Provide financial advisory services to support client decisions.
• Lead and mentor accounting professionals to foster continuous learning.
