Job summary

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting is seeking an Accounting Manager for its Life Sciences client base. The role supports multi-client accounting operations, overseeing general ledger, close processes, and technical accounting across entities, with a remote Boston-based stance.

Ideal candidate has 6+ years in accounting, Big 4 audit, GAAP proficiency, ERP experience (QuickBooks, Xero, Dynamics, NetSuite, Intacct), CPA/MBA a plus.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 2+ years of Big 4 or regional public accounting audit experience.
• Experience with life sciences companies preferred.
• Strong GAAP and financial accounting processes knowledge.
• Experience managing accounting activities across multiple entities.
• Experience with ERP systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, Dynamics, NetSuite, Intacct.
• CPA, MBA or other professional certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial operations for multiple clients.
• Oversee monthly and annual close processes and journal entries.
• Mentor onshore and offshore accounting teams.
• Review records to resolve inaccuracies and imbalances.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and client-specific models.
• Advise on GAAP requirements and audits.
• Coordinate external audit requests and communications.
• Assist with accounting system conversions and cleanup.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
• Lead the 409(A) valuation for common stock.
• Develop trusted relationships with clients as accounting advisor.
