Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires AHIMA/AAPC coder certification and annual renewal.
• Minimum 2+ years in ICD-10, CPT, facility charging and modifiers.
• 2+ years in Emergency Room coding.
• Proficient in Windows, Excel, and EMR workflows.

Responsibilities

• Identify appropriate ICD-10, CPT and modifiers for facility services in line with guidelines.
• Adhere to coding ethics and established client coding guidelines.
• Maintain coding knowledge via QM and Director-level communications.
• Participate in department meetings and educational events.
• Communicate with physicians when necessary.
• Deliver quality coding and productivity performance.
