Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; AHIMA/AAPC certification maintained annually.
• 2+ years experience with ICD-10, CPT, and modifiers.
• 2+ years acute surgery; proficient with Windows Excel and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Expert knowledge in all facility outpatient coding types: Same Day Surgery.
• Identify ICD-10-CPT-modifier assignments for facility services per guidelines.
• Adhere to coding ethics per AAPC/AHIMA standards.
• Maintain productivity and coding quality targets as set by Optum.
