and focuses on outpatient Ambulatory Observation coding using CPT and ICD-10 codes, adhering to official guidelines and client-specific rules. You will ensure coding quality and productivity, review charts, and provide feedback to providers while staying current with coding standards and undergoing ongoing education through QM and Quality Management

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• AHIMA or AAPC credential(s) (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC or CPC-H) required.
• 2+ years of outpatient facility coding experience.

Aufgaben

• Identify CPT and ICD-10 code assignments for outpatient Ambulatory Observation services.
• Analyze/correct CCI Edits and Medical Necessity Edits.
• Abstract additional data elements during chart review as needed.
• Maintain coding quality and productivity as per guidelines.
• Provide documentation feedback and query physicians when appropriate.
• Stay up-to-date with coding knowledge via QM Manager and Director of Coding/Quality Management materials.
