Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and AHIMA or AAPC credentials required.
• Outpatient facility coding experience with ICD-10 and CPT.
• Experience with Same Day Surgery coding and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify CPT and ICD-10 codes for outpatient Ambulatory Observation services.
• Apply coding guidelines and review CCI/Medical Necessity Edits.
• Maintain up‑to‑date coding knowledge per QM Manager guidance.
• Provide documentation feedback to providers and query physicians when needed.
