Job summary

Datavant is seeking experienced outpatient coders to join our remote team. The role focuses on reviewing medical records, assigning diagnoses and procedures, and ensuring accurate CPT coding for precertification and post-discharge processes.

EPIC and 3M/Solventum experience are required, with strong attention to detail and compliance with HIM standards. The position offers flexibility, full-time hours, and access to free CEUs, education stipends, and comprehensive training.

Qualifications

• Experience with hospital coding environments and precertification workflows.
• Proficiency with Interventional Radiology coding and CPT validation.
• Ability to pass HIPAA examinations and maintain credentials.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Sequence codes based on documentation and assign discharge disposition.
• Abstract and enter coded data for hospital reporting requirements.
• Communicate coding issues for follow up and resolution.
• Maintain high coding accuracy and productivity standards.
• Track continuing education credits to maintain credentials.
• Attend Datavant Health sponsored education meetings.
