Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC credentials (CCS/CPC/CPC-H/CIC/CPC-H) required.

• Proficiency in ED, SDS/OBS, injection/infusion coding, E/M leveling.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes.
• Sequence codes based on documentation and coding conventions.
• Discharge disposition assignment and data abstraction for reporting.
• Communicate coding issues and recommendations to care teams.
• Maintain accuracy targets and productivity standards.
