Datavant is a data collaboration platform trusted for healthcare. This fully remote Coding Consultant Outpatient role in the United States requires 5+ years of ED and outpatient coding expertise, CCS or AHIMA/AAPC credentials, and EPIC plus 3M/Solventum proficiency.

You will review records, assign codes, manage discharge dispositions, and abstract data for reporting while ensuring high accuracy and productivity. Strong communication and remote-work skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of coding experience in hospital or coding consulting role.
• Certification: AHIMA or AAPC credentials as listed.
• Proficiency in ED/outpatient coding specialties and EPIC/3M required.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Sequence codes based on documentation and assign discharge disposition.
• Abstract data for hospital statistics and reporting requirements.
• Communicate coding issues for follow-up and resolution.
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy and 95% APC accuracy; meet productivity standards.
• Track continuing education credits to maintain credentials.
