Job summary

Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking an Outpatient Coding Auditor to ensure quality reviews and audits across the organization.

You will coordinate with department managers to enforce standards according to policy and drive improvements in coding accuracy. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in professional medical coding/reimbursement and hold AHIMA or AAPC credentials, with a preference for CPMA or the ability to obtain within 12 months.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive professional medical coding/reimbursement experience.
• Preference for AHIMA or AAPC credentials (CCS, RHIT, CIC, CPC).
• National auditing credential preferred (CPMA) or obtainable within 12 months.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Produce clear audit findings and recommendations in written reports for leadership and staff.
• Deliver educational feedback to coding staff regarding audit findings.
• Identify documentation issues impacting coding accuracy and communicate improvement opportunities.
• Provide guidance to staff in resolving coding issues and error trends.
• Offer continuing education on coding changes and reimbursement systems.
