Job summary

Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking an Outpatient Coding Auditor to ensure accurate medical coding and compliant documentation across multiple client systems. You will lead quality reviews, perform audits, and collaborate with department managers to uphold policies and standards.

Ideal candidate has advanced ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT-4/HCPCS knowledge, and 5+ years in professional coding. You will provide education to coders and identify documentation gaps, driving ongoing improvement and payer

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal coding program with preference given to AHIMA and AAPC credentials (CCS, RHIT, CIC, CPC). 5+ years of progressive experience in professional medical coding/reimbursement.
• National auditing credential preferred (CPMA) or ability to attain within 12 months.
• Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS; medical terminology; anatomy and physiology; and health record content.
• Experience with multi-specialty outpatient clinic for facility and pro-fee services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality reviews and audits of outpatient coding to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with department managers to uphold standards per policies.
• Create clear audit findings and recommendations for education of coders and staff.
• Identify documentation issues and communicate opportunities for improvement.
• Provide continuing education on coding and reimbursement changes to staff.
