Job summary

Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking an Outpatient Coding Auditor to ensure accuracy in coding and documentation. You will conduct quality reviews, generate actionable audit findings, and collaborate with managers to uphold department standards.

The role requires strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT-4, HCPCS, and reimbursement systems. You will mentor coders, deliver ongoing education on coding changes, and help identify opportunities for documentation improvement to support

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal coding program with preference given to AHIMA and AAPC credentials (CCS, RHIT, CIC, CPC).
• 5+ years of progressive experience in professional medical coding/reimbursement.
• National auditing credential preferred (e.g., CPMA) or able to attain within 12 months.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT-4, HCPCS, and coding references.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality audits and provide clear audit findings and recommendations.
• Identify documentation issues affecting coding accuracy and communicate improvement opportunities.
• Provide guidance to staff and deliver continuing education on coding changes.
• Work across departments to ensure adherence to policies and reimbursement standards.
• Educate coders and managers on results and best practices.
