Job summary

Signature Performance, Inc. is recruiting an Outpatient Coding Auditor to ensure coding accuracy and drive compliance across our outpatient services. The role focuses on quality reviews, audit reporting, and coaching for coders and managers to uphold department standards.

The candidate should have a formal coding program completion with AHIMA/AAPC credentials, 5+ years of experience, and strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT-4/HCPCS, and reimbursement systems. Remote, nationwide.

Qualifications

• Formal coding program completion; AHIMA/AAPC credentials preferred; 5+ years of progressive professional medical coding/reimbursement experience.
• National auditing credential with preference for CPMA, or ability to attain within 12 months.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM & ICD-10-PCS, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and health record content.
• Familiarity with coding guidelines, Coding Clinics, and coding references for audits.
• Experience with Multi-Specialty Outpatient Clinic for Facility and Pro-fee services preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple client systems; proficiency with Microsoft Office; Cerner, EPIC, and 3M 360 Encompass preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality reviews and audits and coordinate with department managers to ensure standards.
• Create clear audit findings and recommendations; deliver educational feedback to staff.
• Identify documentation issues impacting coding accuracy and communicate improvement opportunities.
• Provide guidance to staff in resolving coding issues and error trends.
• Offer continuing education on coding changes and reimbursement systems.
