Signature Performance, Inc. seeks an Outpatient Coding Auditor to perform quality reviews and audits of outpatient coding. The role involves coordinating with department managers to ensure policy compliance and delivering educational feedback to coders and staff.

Ideal candidates will have formal coding training with AHIMA/AAPC credentials, 5+ years of coding experience, and knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT-4/HCPCS, and reimbursement systems. Remote, nationwide.

Qualificações

• Completion of formal coding program with AHIMA/AAPC credentials preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive professional medical coding/reimbursement experience.
• National auditing credential preferred (e.g., CPMA) or ability to attain within 12 months.
• Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS; medical terminology; anatomy and physiology; health record content.
• Understanding of coding guidelines, Coding Clinics and appropriate coding references for auditing.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct quality reviews and audits of outpatient coding to ensure standards are met.
• Coordinate with department managers to implement policies and education based on audit findings.
• Deliver education and feedback to coders and staff regarding audit results.
• Identify documentation issues impacting coding accuracy and communicate improvement opportunities.
• Provide ongoing guidance to staff on coding issues and error trends for performance improvement.
• Offer continuing education on coding changes and reimbursement systems to coders and staff.
