Job summary

Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking an Outpatient Coding Auditor to ensure coding accuracy and compliance across departments. You will conduct quality reviews, coordinate with managers, and deliver education on coding improvements to staff.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in professional medical coding, AHIMA/AAPC credentials preferred, and experience with multiple outpatient coding systems. Remote nationwide work is available, with an 8-hour day schedule in US Eastern time.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal coding program with preference given to AHIMA and AAPC credentials (CCS, RHIT, CIC, CPC).
• 5+ years of progressive experience in professional medical coding/reimbursement.
• National auditing credential preferred (CPMA) or ability to attain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Create clear and accurate audit findings and recommendations in written audit reports.
• Deliver educational feedback to coding staff regarding audit findings.
• Identify documentation issues impacting coding accuracy and communicate opportunities for improvement.
• Provide guidance to departmental staff in identifying and resolving coding issues and error trends.
