Job summary

Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking an Outpatient Coding Auditor for a remote nationwide position. You will perform quality reviews, coordinate with managers, and deliver clear audit findings to educate staff.

Strong coding credentials and experience in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT-4/HCPCS and reimbursement systems are required to guide improvement initiatives. You will mentor coders, identify documentation gaps, and provide continuing education on changes in coding and reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal coding program; AHIMA/AAPC credentials preferred.
• 5+ years progressive professional medical coding/reimbursement experience.
• National auditing credential preferred (CPMA) or eligible within 12 months.
• Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS; medical terminology and anatomy.
• Familiarity with coding guidelines and Coding Clinics for audit findings.
• Experience with outpatient clinic audits for facility/pro-fee services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality reviews and coding audits to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with department managers to enforce standards.
• Create clear audit findings and actionable recommendations.
• Provide verbal and written education to coders and staff.
• Identify documentation issues affecting coding accuracy and address them.
• Offer ongoing guidance to staff on coding improvements and trends.
