Job summary

Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking an Outpatient Coding Auditor for a remote nationwide role.

You will perform quality reviews, audits, and coordinate with department managers to ensure coding standards, highlighting documentation gaps and driving improvements across the organization. You should have advanced ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT-4/HCPCS knowledge and experience with reimbursement systems; be capable of educating staff and providing guidance on coding issues.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal coding program with preference given to AHIMA and AAPC credentials (CCS, RHIT, CIC, CPC).
• 5+ years of progressive experience in professional medical coding/reimbursement
• National auditing credential preferred (CPMA) or ability to attain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Create clear and accurate audit findings and recommendations in written audit reports.
• Deliver educational feedback to coding staff regarding audit findings.
• Identify documentation issues impacting coding accuracy and advise on documentation improvement.
