Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking an Outpatient Coding Auditor to ensure coding accuracy and support compliant documentation. You will perform quality reviews, coordinate with department managers, and deliver actionable audit findings to education coders, auditors, and leadership.

The role emphasizes knowledge of ICD-CM, CPT-4, HCPCS, DRGs, PPS, and APC, with a track record in outpatient auditing. Candidates should have AHIMA/AAPC credentials or be able to obtain within 12 months, plus 5+

Qualificações

• Completion of a formal coding program with preference given to AHIMA and AAPC credentials.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in professional medical coding/reimbursement.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS; medical terminology; anatomy and physiology; health record content.
• Understanding of coding guidelines, Coding Clinics and appropriate coding references.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct quality reviews and audits of outpatient coding.
• Coordinate with department managers to ensure standards are met.
• Create clear audit findings and recommendations for education of coders, auditors, and leaders.
• Identify documentation issues impacting coding accuracy and communicate improvement opportunities.
• Provide continuing education to coding staff on changes in coding and reimbursement systems.
