Job summary

Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking an Outpatient Coding Auditor for a remote, nationwide role.

You will review and audit outpatient coding accuracy, coordinate with department managers, and deliver actionable feedback to coding staff to improve documentation and reimbursement outcomes. The role requires strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT-4/HCPCS, and PPS/DRG systems, plus 5+ years of coding experience and AHIMA/AAPC credentials.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal coding program; AHIMA/AAPC credentials preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in professional medical coding/reimbursement.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS; medical terminology; anatomy and physiology.
• Comprehensive understanding of coding guidelines and resources to audit findings.
• Experience with Multi-Specialty Outpatient Clinic for Facility and Pro-fee services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality reviews and audits of coding to ensure accuracy.
• Identify documentation issues impacting coding accuracy and communicate improvement opportunities.
• Provide guidance and continuing education to coders and staff on coding changes.
• Create clear audit findings and recommendations for stakeholders.
