Job summary

Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking an Outpatient Coding Auditor for a remote, nationwide role. You will perform quality reviews, audits, and educational feedback to coders and managers to ensure compliance with ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT-4/HCPCS, and reimbursement guidelines.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in professional medical coding/reimbursement, credentials such as CCS/AHIMA or CPC/APAC, and experience with Cerner, EPIC, or 3M 360 Encompass. U.S. citizenship preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal coding program with AHIMA and/or AAPC credentials.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in professional medical coding and reimbursement.
• Credentialing in CPMA or ability to attain within 12 months is preferred.
• Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality reviews and audits of outpatient coding for accuracy.
• Create clear audit findings and recommendations for coders and managers.
• Provide written and verbal guidance to improve documentation and coding quality.
• Educate coding staff on changes in coding and reimbursement systems.
