Job summary

Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking an Outpatient Coding Auditor for a remote, nationwide role. You will ensure coding accuracy through audits and collaborate with department managers to maintain standards.

You will deliver education on audit findings, identify documentation gaps, and guide staff on corrective actions, while staying current with coding guidelines and payer requirements.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal coding program with preference to AHIMA/AAPC credentials.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in professional medical coding/reimbursement.
• National auditing credential preferred (CPMA) or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, medical terminology, anatomy, and health records.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality reviews and audits and coordinate with managers to ensure standards are met.
• Create clear audit findings and recommendations for staff and leaders.
• Deliver educational feedback to coding staff regarding audit findings.
• Identify documentation issues impacting coding accuracy and recommend improvements.
• Provide guidance to staff in resolving coding issues and trends.
