Job summary

Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking an Outpatient Coding Auditor to ensure coding accuracy and drive compliant documentation across multiple clinics in a remote, nationwide setting.

This role focuses on audits, findings, and educational feedback to coders and managers. You will review ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT-4, HCPCS, DRGs, and APCs, deliver clear audit reports, and guide staff to improve documentation and coding practices.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal coding program with AHIMA/AAPC credentials preferred.
• 5+ years progressive experience in professional medical coding/reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality reviews and audits to ensure coding accuracy and standards.
• Coordinate with department managers to ensure compliance with policies.
• Create clear audit findings and recommendations in written reports and educate staff.
• Identify documentation issues and advise on documentation improvement related to coding.
• Provide continuing education to coders and staff on changes in coding and reimbursement.
