Datavant is seeking an Outpatient Auditing Specialist to audit outpatient facility coding using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers, while offering clear rationale for changes and references. This fully remote role supports flexible scheduling across the U.S.

Candidates should have 5+ years in outpatient coding or auditing, hold CCS or RHIA/RHIT, and be proficient with Epic and Cerner EMRs. Datavant provides benefits, education stipends, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 5+ years outpatient facility coding experience and/or auditing.
• CCS or RHIA/RHIT certification required.
• Maintains 95% accuracy rate.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other prevalent EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Performs Outpatient Facility coding audits of medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Provides rationale explaining changes with references and documentation locations.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases to ensure workflow and resolution.
• Provides coder education via auditing process.
• Adheres to AHIMA code of ethics.
