Datavant seeks an Inpatient Auditing Specialist to drive audits of inpatient facility coding, provide rationale for changes, and stay current with regulatory updates. This remote, PRN-allowed role emphasizes education, professionalism, and customer service while maintaining high DRG accuracy. Experience with Epic/Cerner is preferred, and CCS is required.

Ideal candidates will manage multiple cases efficiently, collaborate with teams, and uphold AHIMA ethics in a fast-paced environment.

Competenze

• 5+ years of facility inpatient coding experience and/or auditing.

Mansioni

• Performs Inpatient Facility coding audits according to scope of work, for Onboarding, Focused, SLAs or other types of reviews, using appropriate DRG assignments.
• Provides rich and concise rationale explaining the reasoning behind any identified changes, including references and documentation locations.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases concurrently to ensure workflow and turnaround time.
• Provides coder education via the auditing process.
• Function professionally and positively.
• Adhere to AHIMA's code of ethics.
• Must be customer-service focused and display professionalism, flexibility, dependability and commitment to excellence.
• High complexity of work and decision making.
• Strong organizational, teamwork, and leadership skills.
