Datavant is seeking an Outpatient Auditing Specialist to perform audits of medical records and coding using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS. You will explain changes with precise rationale and stay updated on regulatory updates.

The role is fully remote with a flexible schedule, offering professional growth in healthcare data solutions. The position requires 5+ years of outpatient coding/auditing, CCS or RHIA/RHIT, and experience with Epic and Cerner.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of outpatient facility coding experience and/or auditing.
• CCS or RHIA/RHIT required.
• Maintains 95% accuracy rate.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Performs outpatient facility coding audits of medical records and abstracts using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Provides rationale explaining changes with references and location of documentation.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases to ensure workflow and resolution.
• Provides coder education via audits.
