Datavant is seeking an Outpatient Auditing Specialist to address coding quality, compliance assessments, payer reviews, and coding education. This fully remote role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to influence healthcare data accuracy from your own workspace.

Requirements include 5+ years in outpatient coding/auditing, CCS or RHIA/RHIT certification, and proficiency with EMRs such as Epic and Cerner. Strong organization and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of outpatient facility coding experience and/or auditing.
• CCS or RHIA/RHIT required.
• Maintains 95% accuracy rate.
• Experience with Epic,Cerner, and other prevalent EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Performs Outpatient Facility coding audits of medical records and abstracts using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Provides rationale explaining changes with references and documentation locations.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases to ensure workflow and resolution.
• Provides coder education via auditing.
• Adhere to AHIMA’s code of ethics.
