Datavant is seeking an Outpatient Auditing Specialist to perform audits of outpatient facility coding, provide rationale for changes, and stay current with regulatory updates. This role emphasizes education for coders and maintaining high accuracy while supporting a fully remote, flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of outpatient facility coding experience and/or auditing.
• CCS or RHIA/RHIT credential required.
• Maintains 95% accuracy in coding performance.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other common EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform outpatient facility coding audits of medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Provide concise rationale with references and location of documentation for changes.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes in healthcare coding.
• Organize multiple cases to ensure workflow and timely resolution.
• Educate coders through the auditing process.
• Demonstrate professionalism and strong communication.
