Job summary

Datavant is seeking an Outpatient Auditing Specialist to address coding quality, regulatory assessments, and payer reviews. This fully remote role offers a flexible schedule and the chance to influence healthcare data integrity from your home workspace.

You will audit outpatient facility medical records, justify changes with references, and educate coders. The role requires 5+ years of outpatient coding or auditing, CCS/RHIA/RHIT credentials, and EMR experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of outpatient facility coding experience and/or auditing.
• Maintains 95% accuracy rate.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Performs outpatient facility coding audits of medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Provides rationale with references and documentation locations for changes.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes and industry standards.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases to ensure workflow and resolution.
• Delivers coder education through the auditing process.
