Datavant is seeking an Outpatient Auditing Specialist to perform facility coding audits, provide rationale for changes, and stay current with regulatory updates. The role emphasizes coder education, quality reviews, and professional client interaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of outpatient facility coding experience and/or auditing.
• CCS or RHIA/RHIT certification required.
• Maintains 95% accuracy rate.
• Experience with EMR systems such as Epic/Cerner and other prevalent EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Perform outpatient facility coding audits of medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Provide detailed rationale for changes with references and documentation locations.
• Stay current with regulatory changes to coding practices.
• Educate coders through the auditing process and support continuous improvement.
• Manage multiple cases while maintaining professional and timely workflow.
