Job summary

e4health is seeking an Outpatient Coder to accurately abstract data into client EMR systems, following ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines, AMA CPT, and CMS directives. You will perform data entry of required patient information into the client’s system.

You will query physicians when needed and collaborate with Clinical Documentation staff to ensure complete and accurate coding, while maintaining a 95%+ accuracy rate and meeting productivity standards. This is a remote role.

Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC credential required.
• Minimum 3 years of coding experience required.
• Trauma Level 1 and Academic Teaching facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assigns ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS codes and modifiers to facilities-based accounts.
• Abstracts and enters coded data for reporting requirements.
• Queries physicians to clarify conflicting or incomplete information.
• Communicates with Clinical Documentation Improvement and Revenue Cycle teams for follow up and reconciliation.
• Maintains required productivity and quality standards.
