Job summary

Community Care Cooperative (C3) is seeking a Certified Outpatient Coder to join our billing and credentialing team. You will review ambulatory records, assign ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes, and ensure coding accuracy and compliance with guidelines.

The role reports to the Director of Revenue Integrity and supports multi-specialty FQHC clients across the United States. You will work remotely within the United States, collaborating with providers to clarify coding questions and resolve

Qualifications

• CPC certification required.
• 3-5 years CPT/HCPCS outpatient coding experience in a multi-specialty facility.
• Epic experience highly preferred.
• Familiar with third-party payer requirements and coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes to patient encounters based on documentation.
• Ensure timely completion to meet billing deadlines.
• Resolve incomplete or missing documentation to expedite billing.
• Clarify coding questions with healthcare providers.
• Perform claim edits and denial reviews related to coding errors.
• Identify coding/documentation trends and report to management.
• Stay updated on coding guidelines, payer policies, and industry changes.
• Other duties as assigned.
