Job summary

SelectQuote is hiring experienced sales professionals for a Sales Development Advisor role. The position is outbound, unlicensed, with paid training, a base salary plus bonus, and a path to licensed sales roles.

You will generate interest, qualify prospects, and transfer to licensed agents, while meeting performance goals. Candidates should be comfortable with high-volume outbound calls, scripts, and rejection.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of telesales, inside sales, phone sales, or comparable sales experience required.
• Proven ability to work in a high-volume, metrics-driven or commission-based sales environment preferred.
• Demonstrated success toward quotas, KPIs, conversion goals, or other measurable sales objectives.
• Strong objection-handling and closing skills.
• Confident, energetic, and conversational phone presence.
• Strong active listening and communication skills.
• Ability to follow scripts and established sales processes.
• Ability to accept coaching and implement feedback.

Responsibilities

• Make high-volume outbound calls to prospective customers, with activity up to 800 calls per day.
• Generate interest and create meaningful engagement with prospective customers.
• Establish rapport and communicate confidently over the phone.
• Identify customer needs and qualify prospects for transfer to a licensed agent.
• Handle objections and move prospects toward the next step.
• Follow established sales scripts and processes while staying natural.
• Meet or exceed transfer and KPI goals.
• Be coachable and apply feedback to performance.
• Work with multiple monitors, software, and phone systems.
