Remote OTS Preconstruction Project Manager

Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a project manager within its Operational Technology Solutions (OTS) organization to move awarded projects through pre-construction and set up in CMiC. This role is fully remote; location details will be discussed in interview.

You will manage scope, schedule and budget, coordinate with design, procurement, and EPC Pre-Con teams, prepare budgets and BOMs, and serve as main POC for EPC Pre-Con. Strong communication and PV solar experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of project management experience; ability to manage multiple projects.
• 2+ years PV solar industry experience.
• General knowledge of SCADA/OT design, setup and support.
• Experience with renewable generation monitoring.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with schedule software such as Oracle P6 or MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Oversee OTS EPC projects during pre-construction, including scope, schedule and budget.
• Maintain OTS Pre-Construction Tracker.
• Be main POC to EPC Pre-Con on all incoming projects.
• Attend BD to Pre-Con handoff calls.
• Confirm initial project budgets and communicate with stakeholders.
• Identify and manage cost changes during pre-construction.
• Generate job start forms/setting projects up in CMiC.
• Collaborate with design team in kicking off design within project schedules.
• Collaborate with procurement to draft project BOM.
• Manage the execution of vendor subcontracts considering schedule constraints.
• Collaborate with EPC Pre-Con on SOLV-to-SOLV agreements.
• Track and review SOW exhibits.
• Work with managers to assign appropriate project resources.
• Review and update project schedules.
• Participate in financial/month-end reporting for projects in pre-construction.
• Set up and host handoffs from OTS Pre-Con to OTS PMs.
• Collaborate with EPC teams to import full project budgets into CMiC.
• Support a culture of continuous improvement and process efficiency.
