Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Project Manager for its Operational Technology Solutions group. This fully remote role focuses on moving awarded projects through pre-construction, maintaining trackers, budgeting, and coordinating with design, procurement, and EPC teams to ensure smooth handoffs to project execution.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in project management, 2+ years in PV solar, and strong MS Office/Power BI skills, with familiarity in CMiC and scheduling

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years project management experience; multi-project leadership in multidisciplinary teams.
• Minimum of 2 years PV solar industry experience (industrial or utility scale).
• General knowledge of SCADA/OT system design, setup, commissioning and support (desired).
• Experience with basic renewable generation monitoring functions and designs.
• Customer escalation and conflict resolution skills desirable.
• Resource planning and mitigation management.
• Cost budget management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding diagrams and schematics including power, networking, control, electrical, mechanical, civil layouts.
• Experience with scheduling software (Oracle P6 / MS Project).
• Proficient use of MS Office tools including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Power BI.
• Experience using task management tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee OTS EPC projects during the pre-construction phase, including scope, schedule, and budget.
• Maintain OTS Pre-Construction Tracker.
• Act as main POC to EPC Pre-Con on all incoming projects.
• Attend BD to Pre-Con handoff calls.
• Confirm initial project budgets and communicate with stakeholders.
• Identify and manage cost changes during pre-construction phase.
• Generate job start forms/setting projects up in CMiC.
• Collaborate with design team to kick off design within project schedules.
• Collaborate with procurement to draft project BOM.
• Manage execution of vendor subcontracts considering project schedule constraints.
• Collaborate with EPC Pre-Con in processing SOLV-to-SOLV Agreements.
• Track and review SOW exhibits.
• Assign resources with OTS PMs.
• Review and update project schedules.
• Participate in financial/month-end reporting for pre-construction projects.
• Set up and host thorough handoffs from OTS Pre-Con to OTS PMs.
• Assist EPC teams to import full project budgets into CMiC.
• Support continuous improvement of processes and efficiency.
