Job summary
Cognizant is seeking an Oracle – On Prem to AWS Migration Architect for a full time remote opportunity. The Oracle DBA Lead will oversee the complete migration lifecycle, focusing on rehosting Oracle databases from on-premises to AWS while ensuring availability, performance, security, and post-cutover support.

Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience with migration responsibilities.
- Experience migrating Oracle databases from on-premises to AWS or other cloud environments.
- Experience with Oracle RAC and high availability configurations.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end migration of Oracle databases from on-premises to AWS (rehost to Oracle on EC2).
- Perform discovery, assessment, and prerequisites for migration projects.
- Define cutover sequences, rollback plans, and validation criteria.
- Build Oracle database environments on AWS EC2 with proper security and monitoring.
- Execute schema and data migration using RMAN, Data Pump, transportable tablespaces, or GoldenGate.
- Plan mock migrations, production cutovers, and post-cutover stabilization.
- Provide post-go-live hypercare and rapid triage for incidents.
