Cognizant is seeking an Oracle – On Prem to AWS Migration Architect for a full time remote opportunity. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US. The Oracle DBA Lead will oversee the complete migration lifecycle from discovery to post-migration stabilization.

The role emphasizes rehosting Oracle databases to AWS EC2, with emphasis on availability, security, and operational readiness post-cutover.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience, including production support and migration responsibilities.
• Experience migrating Oracle databases from on-premises to AWS or other clouds; hands-on AWS rehost preferred.
• Expertise with Oracle RAC, RMAN, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and enterprise monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end migration of Oracle databases from on-premises to AWS, focusing on rehost to Oracle on EC2.
• Define migration approaches, prerequisites, cutover sequences, rollback plans, and validation criteria.
• Build and configure Oracle environments on AWS EC2 with proper security, backups, and monitoring.
