Job summary

Atlas Technologies is seeking an Oracle/PeopleSoft Database Administrator to design, implement, and optimize the PeopleSoft database essential to supporting our HR system in a fully remote capacity for eligible U.S. residents.

The role requires strong Oracle DBA experience, PeopleSoft metrics knowledge, and hands-on work with AWS RDS, RMAN, and automated monitoring. Candidates must hold DoD security clearance and a Security+ certification where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA with in-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture.
• Security+ CE Certification, or equivalent.
• Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS RDS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle database software across AWS RDS environments.
• Perform proactive performance monitoring, SQL tuning, and resource optimization including PeopleSoft-related diagnostics.
• Ensure database availability, integrity, and reliability with automated monitoring and alerting.
• Develop and implement backup strategies including RMAN and cross-region backups.
• Support migrations and upgrades across environments including PeopleTools upgrades and environment refreshes.
