Job summary

Atlas Technologies is seeking an Oracle/PeopleSoft Database Administrator to design, implement, and optimize the PeopleSoft database for enterprise HR systems. Remote option available to eligible U.S. residents with up to 10% travel.

Responsibilities include patching, tuning, backup strategies, security, DR planning, and automation using Bash/Python and AWS tools. Requires DoD Secret clearance and 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
• Experience with Oracle database architecture and tuning.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting (Bash/Python).
• Experience with AWS RDS and PeopleSoft monitoring integrations.
• Knowledge of backup/restore, RMAN and PITR.
• Familiarity with security compliance and audits.
• Ability to work remotely and travel up to 10%.
• U.S. Citizenship and DoD Secret Level Security Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle database software across AWS RDS environments.
• Perform performance tuning, SQL tuning, and resource optimization for PeopleSoft.
• Maintain availability, integrity, and reliability with monitoring and health checks.
• Develop backup strategies using RMAN, PITR, and cross-region backups.
• Enforce security policies, access control and auditing.
• Troubleshoot database issues and cross-tier bottlenecks.
• Create runbooks and documentation; automate tasks with scripts and Lambda.
• Support migrations, upgrades, DR planning and High Availability.
