Job summary

Atlas Technologies is seeking an Oracle/PeopleSoft Database Administrator to join our IT team and support the Direct Access infrastructure contract. You will design, implement, and optimize the Oracle/PeopleSoft database environments, ensure high availability, perform tuning and backups, and collaborate with security and application teams to meet DoD-level requirements for a mission-critical HR system.

Fully remote position available to residents in several US states.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Oracle DBA experience and deep Oracle architecture knowledge.
• Strong SQL/PLSQL skills and scripting ability (Bash/Python).
• Experience with AWS RDS, CloudWatch, and PeopleSoft monitoring integrations.
• Security clearance (DoD Secret or higher) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle database software across cloud environments.
• Performance tuning, SQL optimization, and proactive monitoring for availability.
• Develop robust backup strategies including RMAN, PITR, and cross-region restores.
• Enforce security policies, access controls, encryption, auditing, and compliance artifacts.
• Support migrations and upgrades for PeopleSoft across environments.
• Create runbooks, automate tasks with scripting, and document architecture.
