Job summary

Atlas Tech is seeking an experienced Oracle/PeopleSoft Database Administrator to design, implement, and optimize the PeopleSoft database required to support our enterprise-wide HR system. This fully remote role serves residents in the United States and involves up to 10% travel.

You will install, patch, and upgrade Oracle DB software in AWS RDS, perform SQL tuning, implement robust backups, enforce security, and guide migrations and DR planning with PeopleSoft awareness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience with Oracle architecture expertise.
• Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL and scripting (Bash, Python).
• DoD Secret security clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or related field.
• Experience with AWS RDS and monitoring tools for databases.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle DB software in AWS RDS.
• Tune SQL/PLSQL and optimize performance for PeopleSoft workloads.
• Ensure availability with automated monitoring and health checks.
• Develop robust backups with RMAN, PITR, cross-region strategies.
• Enforce security, auditing, and compliance during operations.
• Support migrations and upgrades across on‑prem and cloud.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and HA implementations.
